It's stuff like that makes me NOT long for the old days of compact digital cameras. If true, it really sabotages the P5000. Particularly sad because I still keep my Coolpix4500 around - it's one of the ones with the swivel in it, and is sufficiently unobtrusive that it's useful for getting candid shots.
