The original is a terrible. Half the film was spent laughing at the terrible dialogue, delivery and plot :-).

Ah, the original might not be a masterpiece by any measure, but I was thoroughly entertained. It was cheesey and predictable, but that's what it is. You don't watch these kinds of movies for a memorable life-altering event. I almost went to see this one in the theater, but plans changed last minute, and I never got around to it. If you keep your expectations low, you might enjoy the first one (too?).

Does it have more Kate Beckinsale in-tight-leather? Seriously. I know it sounds shallow but I was expecting a bit of a Trinity (from the Matrix) thing going on with Kate in Underworld. From the trailers the first Underworld does seem to feature more of her.
