I agree with Jon that we have visited far worse man-made constructions on our landscapes than wind turbines.   • I absolutely love wind turbines.
    here in texas there are some that go for miles and miles.
    when I drive past I always insist that we stop the car so I can go and get up close and just sit, watch and listen.
  • Spot on Paul. I can see 5 of the 18 turbine Tournafulla (Airtricity) windfarm from my house and actually took a Sunday drive to the hilltop last week. There were plenty other 'tourists' sightseeing there too. It's a spectacular sight on the main Limerick -> Tralee road.

    Is this the site outside Darling, in the Cape West coast? - they really are beautiful, but sometimes not too popular with the birds who fly into them!
