the way Lucas meant it , it should have been made in 10 years.'90 to 2000.The story does a lot but the technology to tell it was soooooo diferent. the old republic was the prime time [ episode 1..... the naboo starship? soooo shiny! the rebellion (episod iV,) skrewed everything up but it did not turn everything into blocky, dull coloured, unfocused lasers.] the attempt to establish the new republic pulled the galaxy out of the dark ages, but just the way people think, not how they see.
I think that if i were to show the movies to a new fan, i would show them Phantom Menace, A new Hope, Attack of The Clones, Empire Strikes Back, Revenge of the Sith, Return of the Jedi.

hehe, I don't think anyone could accuse Star Wars of featuring good acting. Mark Hamill was awful!

how good actors like Ewan McGregor and Liam Neeson were so wooden in I is beyond me.

I think many of us Star Wars fans are biased. We hold on to child-hood memories, and standards, that when applied, in adulthood, to the original three movies makes for an unfair situation. Rose coloured glasses and all that.

A friend here in Ireland had never seen Star Wars before last year. She then went and watched them all and loved the whole series. Though she said the original three were a bit old and corny :)

And anyway. I rather liked the three new movies. They aren't great but they fit into the story well and are entertaining. Jar Jar is annoying though.

If i were gonna recommend an order to someone i wanted to hate the movies, i'd recommend your order.

If i wanted someone to enjoy them, i'd recommend IV, V. If they hate those two, at least they haven't wasted their time on Jar Jar...
