There has been plenty of buzz lately about OpenID. I think the idea is very good even though its flexibility (”decentralised”) can make getting your head around it a bit difficult. Once you figure it out though you realise how obvious it is.

I've had this livejournal account for... ages now, never posted anything with it, but needed the login to view family member's "friends only" entries. Now i can also use it to get me one of these new-fangled "open eye deez". *Fan*tastic!
...now i just need to find a use for an OpenID...
