My iPhone wasn't activated. iActivator will jailbreak it (make the files writeable) and it will activate the phone.

Hi Paul,

I'm just reading through the jailbreak guides here. sounds great. when you bought your iPhone, did you have it activate it?? i was under the impression that it was useless without activation?? i understand that there are apps out there that can activate the iPhone without AT&T. but can you use the inital jailbreak app on an unactivated iPhone?? For instance, if i bought an iPhone from the States, brought it home could i use the jailbreak software??
