MacBook Pro Diaries #003: Hash

    Funny seen as shift and 3 produces a £ on windows :)

    So... you ordinarily use some weird keyboard layout that *doesn't* use Shift+3 for '#'?
    Or it just isn't marked as such on the Mac...?

    And yeah, it isn't marked on the keyboard at all Shog<sup><small>9 from outer space</small></sup>. I didn't presume to try the Windows combination though once I realised it was shift+3 I started presuming more ;)

    I had some confusion over here in the Americas, because this symbol: # is referred to as "the pound symbol". Really have no idea what thats all about.

    And in music # represents a sharp. Confusing when Microsoft chose C# (as in sharp, not hash or pound) as a name.
