So wait, a buggy Google Reader == The Tyranny of Emailish RSS?
I don't want to think of feeds as emails (and don't use my email program as a feedreader for that reason...), but i fail to see how you've made an argument here...

It is part of a larger discussion taking place in the RSSsphere. A buggy Google Reader just highlights the problems of being a slave to unread counts.

Google Reader shouldn't change (just fix the bug) but it would be nice if it allowed me to specify which feeds I want to see unread counts on and which to just let slide by on the river of news.
