Paul, you can get a widget for your Mac which provides a snapshot of your Gmail inbox - http://www.google.com/macwidgets/index.html - I haven't messed about with it too much but it's better than having to pop open a browser to check your inbox.

I got my Mac on Thursday :)

I miss GTalk thou :(

Sorry about that Shog, I'm trying to get an option in WordPress working and it has the side-affect of summarising the feed. It should be fixed soon :)
