    Thanks for writing about BackType. I'm glad you're liking the service. Like you said, it isn't perfect yet, but we're working hard to make it better every day. You're right on about adding support for other services. We already support Hacker News (news.ycombinator.com) and will be expanding to support comments from other services in the future.

    We're curious, what did you propose to use as "signatures"?

    "signatures" were pretty much a combination of URL and name or name and avatar etc. Very early thinking and most of the project was meant to look into the many problems around figuring "signatures" out.

    Enterprise Ireland chose not to fund the proposal however (mainly because the "signature" idea seems pretty hard to crack.) If you guys make millions then I'll have to remind them about the proposal :)
