I've had a Canon Digital IXUS V for nearly five years now and can totally recommend the IXUS range. During the same time, many friends of mine have since replaced their first attempt with an IXUS and have not been found wanting.

Admittedly, the IXUS V is very dated now though (both in terms of physical size and specification (2MP, 2X zoom)) and I am looking to replace it. When I do, it will certainly be with another from the IXUS range. The 750 had caught my eye recently and was great value at €249.00 from eXpansys.

It was in a "design showcase" list, CSS Beauty or one of those.

And I'll get a lot more chances to enjoy a pocket cam than a game console :)
